  • Even monks have cell phones! I have some issues with the Buddhist monks but I'll wait til later to explain.
  • Notice the kid on the front ASLEEP! Wished I had a 70-200 with me for this shot, and also wishing we weren't moving 60 kmph.
  • Surin Beach, the school kids on a field trip!
  • Took this from our train from Bangkok to Kanchanaburi (the most eye awakening train ride ever, with the most poverty imaginable). I wish I would've been able to steady and focus. Guess he didn't find it dangerous to read RIGHT next to the railroad tracks?!
  • Our train stop on the way to Kanchanaburi. It's never a good sign when they're working on the brakes for the train you're on!

  • This is in The Floating Village. She's using a cooling pot as a canoe!
  • This boat was crazy small! But it took us through the Mangrove Forest which will be in another post!
  • The kids go around on boats paddled by their parents trying to make money with their cuteness. That's how poor the Floating Village is. This kid mooched us big time.

  • Our tuk tuk driver told us what the monks schedule is, and they are so lazy. They eat and ask for money and food for themselves and meditate. Of course any good buddhist wouldn't turn them down. They could do SO much more for their country. Regardless of my rant, they make pics look cool!
