Things that make me swoon
I’m sure you’ve already caught onto the obsession, but Pinterest is pure genius. Gone are the days of storing box after box of recipes, photos, and home inspiration. I simply can pin photos directly online in an organized fashion and reference them whenever I want to. It’s a Type A person’s DREAM! These luggage tags can be bought on Etsy, Seller is: OfTheFountain
Fashion/Design Books & Magazines
A large part of my inspiration in life and photography comes from these mediums. From posing ideas to paint colors, everything I do seems to be inspired by print. Some of my favorites are: Vanity Fair Portraits, Vivian Maier Street Photographer, A Year of Mornings, Domino, Design Sponge, Real Simple, W, Vogue & Country Living. Image found via: Tumblr
Glitter
Glitter on my nails, in my hair, on my clothes…I don’t care. Heck, you know that old lady on Patch Adams that dreams of swimming in a pool of noodles? Well just change out noodles for glitter and that would be me! The bokeh created from blowing glitter into the air was a major inspiration for this website! My Husband Ryan
On March 11th, 2006, I married the man of my dreams. In my vows to him I wrote, “You’re everything I could’ve asked for, & a bunch of things I never knew I wanted.” I’ve got it extremely easy being his wife. He’s extremely intelligent, thoughtful, kind, hardworking, hilarious, & such a family man. Also, we are such HUGE supporters of marriage, & I think that’s why we photograph so many weddings and have so much fun in the process. Photo by: Jessica Claire.
Floral Design
I am SO into fresh flowers. I used to think buying fresh flowers was such a waste of money. But now I realize how much they freshen up my mood and my house. I have major respect for my floral design friends. While I’m not good at it, if I wasn’t a photographer, I’d LOVE to be a florist! Florals by: Honey & Poppies, Photography by Ashleigh Henning.
Kelly Green
My favorite color is green. Namely, Kelly Green. I’m obsessed with it, and love when it’s paired with Gold too. Maybe it’s because I’m part Irish? Maybe it’s because a leprechaun got into my genetic make-up??

Inspiring Quotes
Since I was young, I collected inspiration in the form of words. As an avid journaler, I started creating books of mixed mediums that involved writing, painting, and decoupage. There is so much wisdom out there, I can’t help but collect the words & be inspired by them. Quote by: Steve Jobs. Poster found via: http://icecreamisbetterwithafork.tumblr.com/
Gelato
Fact: On my last trip to Europe, while in Italy and France, I ate gelato AT LEAST once a day…if not twice. When I backpacked Italy in college, I SKIPPED MUSEUMS to save money for GELATO. Yep, I’d call that obsession. Image Found via: http://www.youaremyfave.com/
Trinkets & Hobnobs
Trinkets & Hobnobs are also known as “Totally Pointless or Unnecessary Items I Can’t Seem To Live Without.” Who DOESN’T need a milk mug that holds their chocolate chip cookies?? My favorite place to find such ridiculous items is Urban Outfitters. Ryan would go a step further and place scented candles, coffee mugs, luggage tags, journals & label makers in this category. But, that’s just plain blasphemy ;) You can purchase this amazing mug on Etsy via the seller: apiecebydenise
Babies & Miniature Animals
I have a whole folder on my computer with photos of ridiculously cute animals and chubby babies. Whenever I’m having a bad day, I just look at those photos and they make me happy! Image found via: http://somuchlight.tumblr.com/
Drive In Movies
Growing up in the Midwest, Drive In Movies were much easier to find than they are here in California. There’s nothing like grabbing dinner at A&W and hitting up the double feature special. Can you tell I’m nostalgic? Image found via: Just-Spotted.com
Baking
I am not the best of cooks. That’s not to say that I can’t follow a recipe, but I just am not one that experiments with food in the kitchen. But, Baking? That’s a whole other story. I love the winter months involving fires, hot cocoa and crafting, so it makes sense that I’m into baking as well. Found via: Call Me Cupcake Blog
Traveling the World
Nothing gets my heart skipping more than planning a trip to a far off destination. The culture, the food, the sights, the sounds…every place has something uniquely its own. I’ve had the pleasure of living in Europe, and traveling to places as close as NYC and as far as Cambodia. I’m hoping to add Australia, Nepal, & South Africa to the list in the next 5-10 years! Books
I’m not one to accumulate a lot of stuff, nor am I packrat. But when it comes to books, I live by the philosophy that books are to be smelled, touched, highlighted and collected. Blame it on Beauty & the Beast, but I dream of a room with floor to ceiling books and a big ladder that rolls around the room. Probably not a high probability in my lifetime, but a girl can dream. Bag sold by: Pamela Fugate Designs on Etsy.
Music
I’m a HUGE fan of music. Growing up, I was the girl known for making rad mix tapes. From John Mayer to Mumford & Sons to Lady Antebellum to Josh Radin, I love it all. I specifically have a thing for 80’s hair bands, 90’s hip hop, anything I can dance to & Indie music. How’s that for variety???! Image found via: Google Images
Gus Gus & Lola
It’s okay, you probably skipped over everything on this page due to the cute little pups in the bottom right corner. I love dogs of every kind, but I’m definitely biased about these two. They were two of the four love pups from our sweet dog Lucy who passed away tragically last year. While they will never replace her, they sure are fun and have such awesome personalities. And yes, I like to dress my dogs up for special events such as Christmas and Halloween.
